LM358 alternatives from I-CORE: AiP358, AiP258, AiP358LV and AiP358S

I-CORE makes several LM358-class dual op-amps: AiP358 and AiP258 (3–36 V single supply, 0.7 MHz), plus low-voltage AiP358LV. Which one replaces LM358 in your design, with datasheet figures.

LM358 is made by many manufacturers and is rarely hard to source, but buyers consolidating suppliers in China often want an equivalent from the same vendor as their other parts. I-CORE offers several LM358-class dual op-amps. This page shows which one fits which use.

Which I-CORE part should I use?

For a standard LM358 socket, use AIP358 (SOP-8) — it follows the LM358 pinout and its datasheet specifies a 3–36 V single supply. AiP258 (same datasheet) is the −40 to +125 °C grade. AiP358S is a closely related variant with 0.8 MHz bandwidth and the same 3–36 V supply. For 2.5–5.5 V battery and MCU designs where an LMV358-type rail-to-rail part is used, look at AiP358LV (rail-to-rail input and output, 1 MHz, 80 µA per channel).

What to check

Common-mode range near the positive rail, output swing into your load, slew rate and offset. These are where LM358-class parts from different vendors differ most.

FAQ

Is AIP358 a drop-in replacement for LM358DR?
It uses the standard dual op-amp SOP-8 pinout (1OUT, 1IN−, 1IN+, GND, 2IN+, 2IN−, 2OUT, VCC) with a 3–36 V single supply. Compare offset, slew rate and output swing against your circuit.
What is the difference between AiP358 and AiP258?
They share one datasheet: AiP358 is specified from −40 to +85 °C and AiP258 from −40 to +125 °C.
