Questions buyers ask
- Can CD4053 replace CD4053B?
- CD4053 is I-CORE's functional equivalent of CD4053B, HEF4053B in the same DIP-16 package. Standard parts in this family share the industry pinout, but please compare both datasheets — supply range, timing and absolute maximum ratings — before design-in.
- What is the supply voltage and temperature range of CD4053?
- Supply: 3–9 V. Operating temperature: −40 to 125 °C. See the datasheet for full electrical characteristics.
- Is CD4053 in stock, and can I get a free sample?
- Yes, it is held in stock in Shenzhen. Free samples are available for evaluation, with shipping paid by us. For production orders, SMD parts can be ordered from 1 pc and DIP parts ship in full tubes; orders ship within 2–3 business days after payment.
- Is it original I-CORE product?
- Yes. We supply factory-original I-CORE (Wuxi I-CORE Electronics) parts in sealed reels and tubes. Our ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certificates are shown on the home page; RoHS and REACH test reports are available on request.

General description
The CD4053 is a triple single-pole double-throw (SPDT) analog switch, suitable for use as an analog or digital multiplexer/demultiplexer. Each switch has a digital select input (Sn), two independent inputs/outputs (nY0 and nY1) and a common input/output (nZ). All three switches share an enable input — (E). A HIGH on E causes all switches into the high-impedance OFF-state, independent of Sn. VDD and VSS are the supply voltage connections for the digital control inputs (Sn and E). The VDD to VSS range is 3V to 9V. The analog inputs/outputs (nY0, nY1, and nZ) can swing between VDD as a positive limit and VEE as a negative limit. VDD-VEE may not exceed 9V. Unused inputs must be connected to VDD, VSS, or another input. For operation as a digital multiplexer/demultiplexer, VEE is connected to VSS (typically ground). VEE and VSS are the supply voltage connections for the switches.
